Khadeejah!

Did you know?!

Khadeejah  رضي الله عنہا the daughter of Khuwaylid ibn Asad was the wife of our beloved Nabi ﷺ . She was a very caring, compassionate, hard working woman who was also very intelligent. She gave much needed strength and support to our beloved Nabi ﷺ at very crucial and difficult stages during the early days of prophethood.  She was the first person (from men and women) to accept Islam.
It is narrated in Mashaariqul Anwar that punishment in the grave takes various forms. From among them is that the face of a person is turned away from the direction of Qiblah. Once Khadijah رضي الله عنہا asked Fatimah رضي الله عنہا to ask Nabi ﷺ if he would give his turban or his sheet for her shroud after her demise? Upon receiving this request Nabi ﷺ burst into tears. He then came to her and said, "If you desired to be shrouded in my skin I will definitely give you that as well, but what benefit do you think it will serve?" She said, "I hope to be saved from the punishment of the grave thereby."

She then said, "After my burial will you find out what my condition is? It must not happen that my face is turned away from Qiblah." Again Nabi ﷺ burst into tears.
She passed away in Makkah Mukarramah at the age of 65 years and was buried in Jannatul Mualla . After her demise our beloved Nabi ﷺ would always remember her very fondly and would speak of her in glowing terms.
Jibrael ‘alayhis salâm was seated with our beloved Nabi ﷺ on one occasion when Jibrail ‘alayhis salām said to our beloved Nabi ﷺ:
“This is Khadijah coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Lord and on my behalf and give her the glad tidings of having a house made of pearls in Paradise, wherein there will be neither any noise nor any hard work”
(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim, Jaleesun Naasiheen)
